PicBit-28 Kit
PicBits are simple deveopment/prototyping tools that allow you to program a PICmicro on a breadboard using an In-Circuit Serial Programmer (ICSP) such as the CCS ICD or Microchips' ICD2.
If you've every prototyped with a micro on a breadboard before, you'll know that making the necessary ICSP connections and wiring a resonator can be a pain. If you're removing the PIC each time to program it, then you're almost certainly bending pins and wearing out your breadboard.
With a PicBit you install your PIC just once. The ICSP header and resonator are right on board. This protects the PIC and saves time.
If you are teaching with PICs in your classroom, you need a PicBit ! The savings in damaged PICs alone will pay for the PicBit over and over.
The PicBit-28 supports all 28-pin ICSP capable PICmicros (sold separately). The included resonator is a 20 MHz part.
NOTE: The PicBit-18 Kit requires assembly with a soldering iron. The PIC device is not included.
