We had a great time during May and June 2010!

Fendalton Primary in Christchurch, gave us the opportunity to help with workshops at their school! We used the RoboBox robot, which is an excellent entry level robot. It was great fun!!

Even students with learning difficulty interacted well in their groups. Every body had a chance to contribute to the construction and programming of the robots.

Sue Williams and Katana Dunn presented the workshops and Sue Linscott volunteered to help students where necessary, with other people connected to the school. We had a great time!

Thank you Sue Williams, for allowing us to join in at Fendalton School.

Testimonial

.......Robokits Company really helped us at Fendalton School this year. We had a group of students in Years 5 and 6 who were desperately keen to establish a robotics group at our school, but like many schools, we had no resources for them to use.

Robokits rented us kits at a very reasonable term rate and this allowed us to catch the wave of student interest and get going.

Sue Linscott helped us in our initial sessions and was always very professional with rapid back-up when required.

As our school group is only for Year 5 and 6 children, a few of our younger students are now attending workshops run by Robokits and thoroughly enjoy them.

Workshops - We explore the wonderful world of robotics, by building a robot kit set and programming it to do tasks. Programming languages we support are C, PBasic and Logo type.

Robotics is a great way to teach children more about elementary programming, basic electronics and other skills.

Come and learn more about robotics, either use ours or bring your own robot (Please discuss with us before hand).

Some of our robots will be on display at the Education Expo, held from 18 - 20 June 2010 at the ASB Showgrounds, Auckland, NZ. Look out for Stand 14 - Robokits!!

Our last robotic workshop for 2009 was held on the 18th of December from 9am to 4pm. It was held in Burnside, Christchurch. Some parents made use of the opportunity to see which robots will be suited for their children as Christmas presents.

Please send us an e-mail if you are interested in future workshops.

Our OPEN DAY on the 5th of December 2009 was very exiting! A variety of robots were programmed to do different tasks. The 3pi did maize following, the RoboBox was programmed to move but not fall off the table, the Arduino reacted on touch with it's switches, and more.

The humanoid robot was a great attraction! It can do a back somersault. The Robobuilder humanoid can be programmed to do interesting movements!

There was a constant flow of visitors during the day. Some people made use of the opportunity to sign in for our next workshop. Parents planned to make the young ones happy this Christmas with some exiting presents.

We held Robotic workshops at Roydvale Primary School in Christchurch in 2009. Many students joined us after school. A team went through to the Robocub Competition. They gained a lot of experience and knowledge from this event! We used the RoboStamp robot.

Thanks Roydvale School, for the opportunity!
